My goal as a childbirth educator is for you to make informed, empowered decisions about your birth. I want you to be confident that you have the information you need to plan for your birth, and to make choices during the birth. BirthWorks is not just for parents planning an unmedicated birth-- it is for everyone!
I base my curriculum on the BirthWorks International curriculum, which focuses on holistic wellness for mom and baby, and on trusting the woman's innate ability to give birth. I also supplement with an excellent book, Natural Hospital Birth by Cynthia Gabriel, since many of my clients are planning for a natural birth in a hospital setting. I do customize my curriculum depending on clients' particular goals and challenges.
